Is it normal that i do not trust my personal things to my family?

I mean, I do not tell my mother, father or my sibling either my personal things, cause they usual missunderstood them, and most of that, they are not reliable people. Also they continue telling things to their friends and their siblings (my uncles and aunts). That's why I prefer to keep my things to myself or just comment them with my real friends. They're my family and we love each other, but in that case, I choose friends over them.

    Same here. My family doesn't really understand me too well, lord knows my Dad doesn't. But my friends, we'll we've been through the same things, so I know that they can empathize with what I'm saying, or at the least they'll try to. And that's all I could really ask from them, that they try. It's understandable to chose friends over family with personal feelings. Especially if you're more comfortable talking to your friends than with your family.

      Yes, that is how it works. I talk with my friends things that I wouldn't talk with my family never ever. I love them, but my friends are more open persons, we share more things, we have more common interests and they understand me much better.
