  • This makes no sense. It's like saying you don't believe in Ketchup.

Marriage has no value to me, it's just a formal thing.

It's a good thing you don't. It's all an illusion.

It's people who put the meaning in marriage, and people who take the meaning out. We are certainly in a world that currently doesn't hold marriage on a high pedestal. So yeah, I'd say pretty normal.

I don't believe in marriage either. It doesn't mean anything to me.

Why not? I don't get this. Marriage is a man and a woman combined to make one. They are joined together and live a happily fulfilled relationship...That's really all there is to it! People who don't want to get married don't, and people who want to do. I'm not even married! Lol. But if you have any other questions then just ask me. I'll try my best to answer them! ;)

this is normal because of all the failed marriages we see more and more, the wedding is a certain formalization of a relationship, it is not really necessary, and it is by no means proof of love. it is not a guarantee for a lasting relationship. in short, believe in marriage or not to believe is not a question of normality, it just depends on our perception and our beliefs in general.

The rate of divorce is going down in the United States. It's lower than people think, and it's isn't necessarily marriage that is the problem but the fact that the people getting married weren't ready for it. Divorce doesn't necessarily mean marriage is bad. Nothing has to last forever, and just because something doesn't last forever doesn't mean it wasn't worth it.

        • The divorce rate is going down because the marriage rate is going down too. Less marriages, less divorces.

I don't either (I'm British), I just guessed that you might be American because it's the majority here. I think divorce is going down in lots of parts of the world in any case :)
