Is it normal that i dislike most girly girls?

I'm a girl and there are only a few of them I can tolerate. To define and clarify, by girly girls: I meant those who are extremely loaded with oestrogen induced stamina to perform uber affectionate gestures (touching, and hugging - force choke), giggle with crazy eyes when in the middle of a gossip huddle, cling on to you like a shrink wrap, spam your ears with endless LOL-ing and OMG-ing, plaster their faces with what I assume is neon coloured sharpies for makeup, ask you endlessly whether they look good or not in their pink legally blonde outfit, wonder why you haven't messaged or called back and only leave you alone when you beg your mom to say you have diarrhea, stingray you with tentacles of jealousy when she sees you with a guy she likes, and bombard you with ews and yuck when they see something out of their norm rainbow vision.

Not all girly girls fit this definition but for arguments sake it's really not within the margin of hyperbole.

Probably will get a lot of shaking heads to this but as a girl I feel like acting out in this manner only provides others to further poke fun at women.

This is not a product of estrogen. It is a product of society...most often the kind found inside the walls of an educational institution.

I remember a time that I really hated the Barbie types back in high school, but looking back on it from a greater distance than I sometimes like to admit, I see that they were just doing what they thought would make them feel comfortable, fit in, have friends. I can't look back and dislike them for wanting to fit in any more than I can dislike my own HS/college-aged self for reviling that kind of girlish stuff.

It's a cold world out there. Some people try to surround themselves with others who are like them for warmth; others brave the chill and walk their own way. I've found it's best to be warm to all kinds of people if you can manage it. Life's hard enough without tearing each other down over shallow things.

Eventually, they grow out of it. Sometimes they become helpless soccer moms who rely on their husbands to do everything for them and can't even change a tire or carry in their own groceries, but usually they grow a backbone and feel vaguely embarrassed about their youthful behavior.

By the way, you have a vivid writing style and a great voice. That has nothing to do with your comment; it was just nice to read. :)

    • Very in depth, it was what was nudging at me all along. I try to keep an empathetic view towards their situation, pitying them sometimes when they create that persona as their makeshift comfort zone. There's only so much I can tolerate. Maturity only awaits.

Thank you. I try to sum up what's roaming the insides of my mind with an imaginative detail. I hope it added a tint of humour to the long text. Glad it did not bore you.

It's normal, but whenever there's someone I don't like, all I think is, "whatever, let them be what they choose". :p

    • You can't change people. I can only change the way I react towards them. You're right, it's just hard to when I am surrounded by them. Each coming from a different corner. Ahh, society..

If you react nicely you would have surely changed their life :)

Me, too! They're all like,"What are you wearing today?" and, "OMG! I'm going to the concert!" and, "Daddy, get me a pink car for my 16th birthday!" Ugh, I hate them!

o.O I haven't seen any pink cars ..ever! The only unusual cars I see of color are purple, green, orange, and pink :D I can see what you're getting through on your comment though ;]

Heck,I get really annoyed when I'm with girls like that, I'm a tomboyish girl and the other girly girls treat me like a freak.I least I have guy friends and jeans!

I mostly have guy friends. I grew up "tom-boy" ish, and played a lot of video games. I still do. When i got to high school, dear lord, it was like a horde of preppy, insecure clown faces and sluts.
I'll add that i definately agree with being annoyed with the girly types. My twin sister ia as much girly as i can handle.

Glad to hear I am not alone in this. I play games as well (pc) and get even more frustrated when they can't understand gaming as a hobby seeing as it's not girly. Then once they pick up a controller, oh heck, they are self-proclaimed girl gamers. A different situation, I digress.
