Is it normal that i dare myself to do stupid/reckless things?

Sometimes I'll just see if I can throw and catch an expensive glass in the air or I'll be driving and dare myself to go straight or make a turn with my eyes closed (if there's nothing coming). Anyways, I did that last week got in an accident as a result. Ever since, I've been thinking about how stupid I've been... i cant believe what an idiot i am.

Yeah, that was pretty fucking stupid.

I'm glad you're not dead. I'm sure you've learned from your mistake.

The glass thing, no biggie, I guess. We all get urges to do dumbshit things, (I often get the urge to knock someone walking with a tray, just flip that fucker out of their hands) but most of us control them. Like Wigs said, it's never ok to put others in danger. If you had killed someone else, not only is their life gone, but you'd have to live with that guilt for the rest of your life.

I'm guessing you'll think twice before putting yourself or others in danger again.

It's one thing if you do reckless things that only affect YOU and YOUR property, but when you're in public, especially driving, that's not an option, you just can't be doing that. You're lucky you didn't hurt anyone when you did what you did. Cars aren't the only thing you have to look out for, you never know when a little kid is riding their bike or climbing a tree or other such things, that would be fucked up to hit a kid (or anyone) just for the sake of daring yourself. If you want to do that sort of thing, do something harmless like pretend you're blind and walk from here to there with your eyes closed (on YOUR property!!) or something like that.

My dad almost killed my little brother once when he came speeding around our corner, drunk, and hit the very tree he was playing on. It was a miss of inches, literally.
