Is it normal that i'd rather hug a friend than a family member?

I absolutely love hugging my friends and I feel the love and affection when I do it. Relatives on the other hand, I could care less if some of the people in my family hug me or not (particularly male relatives). In fact, there are certain relatives that I feel the need to take a shower after being around them! Is it normal that I like hugs from friends but not from family?
