Is it normal that i cry when watching sad or tuochy feely anime

Im 22 and a guy. when watching any movie but mainly anime, I cry during any really sad or touchy feely(love) parts. Im not an emotionall crazy, gay(nothing wrong with btw) or nothing, just a big normal guy that loves his anime and boxing. It makes me feel pathetic but I cant help it when the tears come. I really want to hear from u gals and guys, IS THIS NORMAL?

no I havnt, my sad pick was GRAVE OF THE FIREFLIES written and directed by Isao Takahata. ITS A tragic film covering a boy and his little sister's struggle to survive in Japan during World War II.

I've seen that movie twice and that was enough for me. Honestly after the first time I didn't think I'd sit through that again. That movie not only made me cry but left me feeling depressed afterwards too. That one definitely takes the cake.

My boyfriend and I watch Clannad and we always cry during the sad moments. Often, he starts crying first :P. I think it's perfectly normal. Some animes are very touching. In fact, Clannad is so touching that it would be weird if you didn't feel sad...

i think a good story, nevermind if its anime, a book, or a movie. if the story make u feel real emotions, then why not read/watch it, if its good? i mean right?

    Perfectly normal :)
but I'm a girl... guess it's not the same thing :P but crying over Anime, I can understand that. to me, Anime is THE ONLY thing I can cry over. I never cry in other kind of movies... is THAT normal?

I think it's perfectly normal, I hate it when ppl say it's not 'manly' I think it takes a man to show emotion

It's fine for a guy to tear up during certain kinds of really emotional movies, ESP. like father-son stuff or someone sacrificing themselves or something, but crying during love scenes in CARTOONS, that really is pathetic.

yea i understand that but, anime isnt really all kiddie cartoon. if u ever check it out there are a lot very good series and movies out there. a lot of anime are 17+ ratings on them, its just your opinion.
