Is it normal that i cry everytime i hear about death?

Doesn't matter if its a stranger or my uncle, if someone around me has died or if I hear on the news about someone dying I instantly get sad...sad enough to cry. Sometimes depending on the type of death or the circumstances surrounding it, I may not cry but feel completely overwhelmed with sadness. But majority of the time I'm crying my eyes out. Is that normal?

Well to me it sounds like you have the same probleme i use to have. And for me it was confusing sadness with fear. For me it was a fear of death. Everytime i seen a dead body it would make me think that one day i was ganna die and no matter what i did it was ganna happen. And its not so much a fear of death as it is a fear of not knowing whats after death. And it's that not knowing thats scary. so the first thing you need to do is to decipher weather or not it's sadness or fear your filling and making these emotions come forward. After that if it's fear and it's a fear of death then the next thing you need to do is just come to terms that one day your ganna die and theres now reason to fear the inevitable. Now if its sadness then your just a emotional witch isn't bad eather. Now a days i can watch people get killed left and right and it don't brother me. What gets me is seeing animals getting killed. Well hope this helps

It's not rare. Every time I see a funeral line driving down the street I get teary eyed. Just the thought of knowing someone lost someone they love. Or that person has taken their last breath and their life is over. Your just a sensitive person when it comes to that. I don't carry my emotions on my sleeve. But that is one thing that gets to me.

  • That's unusual to me. If I hear about a stranger's death I think "that sucks" but I can't break down and weep for him.

It's not necessarily bad; it just means you have a sensitive soul.

I can honestly say that it’s the sadness that overwhelms me when I see death around me, period. It’s the fact that life is so precious and it escapes us so fast, its heart breaking. I can't help but think about my own life and the things I have failed to accomplish, and I wonder if those individuals who've died where in the same place I was; happy, sad, complete, satisfied with life, etc. I wonder if it could have easily been me. I think the real fear is that I know that death is random and no one is immune.
