Is it normal that i cry during somethings an not during other things?

For example I've had people in my life die (friends/family) but during the funereal or after there gone I could not cry no feelings were shown except a blank face.... But for other things like a sad movie or getting so mad tears come out my eyes its not so hard for me to show this depression... What is wrong with this situation?

violet is right. It takes me quite a long time to comprehend a traumatic situation. But in terms of things that are simply emotional I ball like a baby

Sometimes, when you're really vulnerable, it's hard to show your feelings. Sometimes things are so overwhelming that they take a while to really hit you, too.

  • You cry during those movies because you can empathize with how the characters are feeling, especially since you've been through rough times yourself. Funerals can be very awkward and not everyone does cry at them. It would also depend on your level of attachment to the deceased and how much their absence affects your life. You are normal, don't worry over it.
