Is it normal that i could not stop watching the violence?

a couple days ago I saw one of my neighbors kids, a girl maybe 10 years old, having fun kicking and stomping on her dog. She was small so wasnt doing much damage. But instead of stopping her or telling her parents, I couldn't help but sit there and watch. Does that make me a sadist?
