I literally pick my nose all day feeling a need for it to be perfectly clean, and to not have anything obscuring my breathing.
I literally just took a few minutes to think about whether I submitted this or not. I do this exact same thing, to the point where I have scabs in my nose. It's a compulsion I have to not have anything hinder my breathing. So weird, this is exactly how I feel. And I would never tell anyone; nobody knows I do this.
I have to have my nose perfectly clear. I think everyone picks their nose, admit it or not.
My mom says her mother (my gramma) picks her nose a lot, even in front of her class, which greatly embarrased my mom when she was younger. Oddly enough, my mom picks her nose everytime she drives in her car and when she goes shopping. And I also notice my sister picking her nose constantly, out in public as well, that is actually how she met her husband. True story!
It's normal. I had an obsession in 2nd grade. It was gross but in private. I suggest you do the same.
I suggest you try and do it only in private as it's kind of gross to do it in public.
I personally only pick my left nostril. For some reason, it feels unnatural on the right side.
