Is it normal that i completely hate my boyfriend's best friend?

They play in a band together, they live together, and my boyfriend considers him his best friend in the city. I'm not openly rude to him because I know that nothing I say or do is going to change that. But...

He has a daily heroin habit, which is paid for by his trust fund set up by his rich parents. He likes to talk about how rich his family is, and how rock and roll it is that he does dope while listening to rolling stones records from the 1960s and playing the same annoying blues riff over and over. He's homophobic, self absorbed, and totally spoiled. He also thinks he's really cool because of his junk habit, and that he's completely immune to becoming a junkie. No, this kid is going to work in a law firm. Or be the next Rush Limbaugh, Idk. He used to be a complete jerk to me, until my boyfriend finally yelled at him for it (it got really bad before he did that- my boyfriend NEVER loses his temper). The first time I met the kid, he tried to charge his friends $1 per cigarette. I sort of mumbled something under my breath about him having a stick up his ass. That started the whole thing... And he started to aggressively bum cigarettes off me, calling me a bitch if I didn't give him one. Now we kind of tolerate each other. I don't let on, but he still makes my skin crawl and I wish he would just get sent off to rehab already, cuz he could definitely afford to stay there for a while.

Is it normal that I can't stand him?
