Is it normal that i care so little about my looks?

I am an 18 year old girl, just at the age where looks should matter the most. I am in good shape, and everyone tells me I'm gorgeous. But the thing is, I really don't care. I have never done my nails, I hate to dress up, and I almost always do my hair in a ponytail. I don't buy really expensive clothes, so I can save money. Sometimes I wear wrinkled T-shirts, or have messy hair, but I really don't care. Is this normal? I am very feminine in all other ways, and I know that I am beautiful. I just can't convince myself that appearance is that worthy of my time.

    You're defining real beauty as a material thing.

    Did you ever stop to think that maybe those people thought you were beautiful because you didn't care for those material things?

    I'm just like you. Just thank people for calling you beautiful and stay who you are. You don't need to dress your face up to feel beautiful.

    I don't care about my looks either, even though in my case I probably should since I'm not that attractive.

    "I dont care about my looks so I will talk about how much I dont care about my looks and mention that people say im gorgeous". You obviously do care about your looks if you mentioned how gorgeous people say you are even though the story would of been just fine without that bit added in.

      Okay, so maybe I do care about my looks to the degree that I keep thin, work out, and look in the mirror daily. BUT, I don't care enough to waste more than 5 minutes per day on it.

    I'm the same way. I'm engaged and my fiance is always telling me I'm attractive. I never really thought so, but either way I don't care how I look and I don't like when guys check me out. So, just do what you're comfortable with!

      Ummm, maybe you wouldn't think I'm that much to look at. It depends on whether you like eurasian girls. I know that a lot of white guys are wild about us, think we're the most beautiful etc. But yeah, I think whiter girls are prettier, so if you're that type, you might say I was a nickel. :))

    I wish all girls did that, any girl who think that we care if you have your nails done or that we are happy that you put the whole bottle of makeup on your faces are idiots. Well there are circumstances that exceptions are made though.
