Is it normal that i cant be best friends with girls.

Up untill this year i had never been really good friends with girls. for about the last 6 months my best friend has been a girl and i ended up falling for her hard. I tell her, she doesnt feel the same. Im crushed and dont think i can be friends anymore.

This is why i wont be best friends with a girl again. Its just drama. To me all the traits that make someone my best friend are the perfect base for a relationship.

    Believe it or not. You can be friends but never really best friends for the exact story you just said, one or both of you will fall in love.

    Im the same. Ive never had a female freind without masturbating to a picture of her. Its prretty sad :(

    Yeah, pretty much. Try not to hate them for it but come to an understanding and let them know that you need someone who can give you more than friendship. If they are a good friend, then they will understand why you don't want to be close to them anymore. Be their distanced acquaintance instead.

    NEVER EVER date your friends because if your relationship ends badly so will the friendship.

    I think it's virtually impossible to have a best friend relationship with someone of the opposite sex. Somebody always ends up falling hard for the other, and 99% of the time the feelings are not reciprocated, which leads to someone being really hurt. This is just me speaking from my personal experience though.

    Alright this is my theory. That guy at the first comment is wrong. If you break up chances are it wouldn't be anything too great and you could still be best friends afterwards. But it's normal to fall for you best friend of the opposite sex. I kinda think cause guys and girls aren't intended to he just friends. Idk my best friend is a girl so I know what you mean. But the fact that she doesn't feel the same is no reason to give up on her and not be friends anymore. Chances are she may fall for you later.
