Is it normal that i cannot tell what i feel?

When it comes to emotions, I don't even realize what I am feeling about 80% of the time unless I have an outward expression of an emotion (usually involuntary; something that isn't due to me acting like a certain emotion because it seems appropriate at the time). I am way more aware with what I think than what I feel. Curiosity has led me to post this here.

  • I'm like this too. It's like I may act out in anger or react physically toward situations, but I don't actually feel anything at all. Sometimes I can identify irritation, or humor, but otherwise I don't have emotions the way other people describe. I don't feel them, but I experience them as thoughts.

I do not know most of my feelings. I only know comfort, and irritation.

It happens to me too. Sometimes I'm not sure of what I feel. Like when I'm supposed to be upset, sometimes I actually don't even care. Is that what you mean?

I don't either but I'm beginning to wonder if it's from a lifetime of suppression.
