Is it normal that i cannot eat foods that have touched on my plate?

When I was younger I wouldn't eat any foods touching period. Now it's more like I won't eat the part that has touched. I sorta avoid that area, because I despise foods mixing. And I always have, at least since I was able to feed myself.

I also have this thing (which I believe I inherited from my Papa in some way) where I have an order system in how I eat my food. Let's say it's a Worst to Best thing. For me it would be like, Corn then Fried Chicken then Cookies. That sorta thing. And, albeit a few occasions, I have never drifted from this system.

Just wanting to know if one, both, or neither are fairly normal.

    It's nothing serious, it's just a quirk! Everybody has 'em, ya'know.

    If you want to overcome this problem, you could get several different fruits and blend them together in a blender to create a sweet smoothie, helping you overcome that barrier.

    N. =)

    If it helps, it's impossible for objects to actually "touch" at a molecular level. So actually there's still quite a bit of space between them.

    Well, it is normal as in some other people do both of these things, but not normal if you want to know of the majority does this.

    more like is it normal to ask the exact same question that was asked 5 times, the most recent being 3 months ago which appears to also have been by you (http://isitnormal.com/story/is-it-normal-i-wont-eat-food-that-touches-134609/)

      This is an incredibly late response, but if that was my post I apologize. I completely forgot about it.
