Is it normal that i can't tell faces apart?

I can't remember what anyone looks like, even my own face. Only way I can tell who's who is from their voice.

There's a not-so common disorder where it's physically impossible to recognize faces. Prosopagnosia. Try googling it.

  • Jack is correct its called prosopagnosia. You might be autistic. Most cases of prosopagnosia also have some type of autism. I have aspergers and while I can recognize faces I don't understand facial expressions very well. Not being able to recognize faces at all seems to be a more extreme form of that. Sometimes I have trouble remembering where I remember faces from. For example I was in a restruant and the waitress looked familier and I asked her "I know you from somewhere but I can't remember where" Then I remembered I recognized her from last time I ate there and she was my waitress.

Just don't be afraid to look at someone for longer than a second. They won't do anything to you. then just blink your eyes and take a mental pictue like a camera.
There you did it. Its really easy. I bet you remember what dog faces look like.

.... How long have you known them? Do you live in a cave? Is it... Abnormally dark where you live?

There's a rare condition where people can't remember faces. I can't remember what's called.... but I think you should try to look it up. Exactly how long has this been happening and did you have a injury before this started to happen?
