I'm a musician and every time I record a song, I can't stop listening to it. Even if it is bad. I just want to listen to it all the time. IIN?
I do this too but I generally listen critically because I'm trying to find ways of making it better. It annoys me a bit because I'd just like one thing to be finished but it never is; it just keeps evolving.
I am really glad that someone else asked this question as I have been listening to one of my own songs non-stop and it has begun to feel rather masturbatory. Nice to know I wasn't the only one.
you like making tunes and your song is the product of your time and effort in something you enjoy/that is important to you. I make music but I am still amateur so my stuff isn't exactly amazing in quality.. but I still jam it because it's mine and I'm proud of it in ways.
Yeah you're just checking over it, judging it, right? It'll help you grow as an artist. Writers, painters and musicians should constantly look over their own work. See what's admirable and what's surplus, so they can improve.
It's a song you made, so of course it's going to appeal specifically to you. Whenever I record my music, I like listening to it. :)
