Im the same way i hate tampons i dont like the feel and dont want the risk of TSS.
Its not very healthy because it is bleached cotton! And i dont know bout you but i dont want anything bleached going in my body! Anyways its bleached because originally tampons were like a brownish color caused by the cotton, women didnt like the color so companies bleached it to make it more appealing to women. TSS is rare but i still dont want to risk it and pads are just easier to deal with in my opinion.
I hate tampons! Ive never tried them, as never will! Pads are way better, and if you really don't like tampons, go with pads! Just go with the one you like better, and feel more comfortable having! I hope my advice helped! :)
Everyone has their preferences.
I feel so much cleaner using a tampon instead of a pad.
No blood smell or messy clean up.
Pads are ok .....UNTIL you want to go swimming, then they are just GROSS eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeew
Tampons are MUCH Better & Cleaner
I hate tampons but my sister always buys them and I have to use them (i share an apartment with her)
Whenever I use tampons they won't stay in, so I have to use pads. And they hurt :(
NORMAL!
Hygiene choices are to be for OUR personal comforts.
Some are never comfortable with the feelings of an internal object. either the object itself or just the concept of doing so. And then it's been found that the cups change everything. Some find that after their "Learning Curve" it's as if they were not menstruating so far as hygiene. But there IS that learning curve to deal with.
It's why the various Menstrual Cups so often are not given a fair trial. They can be an awesome life changing experience but it's so subjective. LiveJournal has a Menstrual cups community that has tons of real people information.
Washable Cloth Pads are another potential life changing thing. Just saying- it's well worth checking out both washables and cups. Set aside all the doubts by doing some research. Many folks wonder why they took so long and even get ANGRY at our consumerist culture's damage to our bodies. and to our minds.
Choose what works for you emotionally and functionally- that's as said- NORMAL to do.
I know a lot of girls that hate tampons, but personally I can't stand pads.. Even though tampons hurt sometimes I can't stand the feeling of pads and the thought of a big bloody mess.. Sorry I know that sounds, well, really gross.
I use tampons when I'm out, but if I'm going to be home all day, I'll use pads.
That's fine. I can't deal with pads, personally, but I know other people who never use tampons.
