Yea, if you don't like hot weather, liking colder weather seems logical.
I'm in the exact same range as you. My philosophy about it is "if you're feeling too cold you can always snuggle up in a warm blanket, but if you're feeling too hot, you're screwed."
Also I'm very seriously considering a place where it's snowy year-round when I have enough money to move out on my own. I love peaceful walks through the snow at night. The muffling effects of it make the entire world seem silent as space. F***ing beautiful. <3
I'm the exact same way, I always get labeled as a grump because I don't like summer but then when everyone's moaning about winter I'm loving it, when it's cold you can put the heating on, put on more clothes, have a bath, when you're hot there's not much I can do outside of opening a few windows and pushing the hot air around with a fan, and if you're out you just have to deal with it, and I hate the heat
Plus I love the rain, I love the dark evenings and waking up with a cup of coffee as the sun rises, I just love winter
I wish there was somewhere legit that range year-round, but no matter how cold the winter, it always ends up getting super hot in the summer. Really, the best you can do is find somewhere that it doesn't break 100F. Even Alaska gets way too hot during the summer.
