You have sensitive teeth. You have tubules from the nerve on the surface of your teeth. That's what causes the pain. You can try Sensodyne toothpaste and avoid the worst offenders. I feel for you b/c I have them, too. My brother can't let ice cream touch his teeth. My sister has no pain.

  • It sounds like you have sensative teeth. you could try a toothpaste designed for sensative teeth. i have a friend who chews ice and it is very annoying. I like to let it melt in my mouth and then swallow when its small enough to.

hers a first aid tip for you all

If you see anyone choking on ice simply pour boiling water down their throat
