There's this girl, we're kinda friends, and we both liked the same guy. She's much more of friends with him than i am, and he likes her ban, but they're not dating. Yet. It's all I've been thinking about for so long. Is it normal that I can't stand talking to her anymore?

    You're jealous.

    And you may be thinking that he'd be dating you if it wasn't for her holding his attention so much.

    Except that... she might not be holding him back from you. He might not be interested in you regardless of her existence.

    It's a bit like Doctor Who with 10 and Martha.
    At first Martha was jealous of the Doctor's memory of Rose. She felt that... if Rose hadn't existed the Doctor would fall in love with her.

    Eventually she realized however... Rose had nothing to do with it. He just didn't find Martha romantically attractive and never would.

    When she (and her ego) came to grips with that she moved on and even got engaged.
