Is it normal that i can't smell a skunk, with a normal sence of smell?

Alright, I know the first thing you are going to say, "Why would you want to smell a skunk?" So here's the deal, all my life, I have never been able to smell a skunk and I think it's really odd! Even as a child, on field trips, we will be driving down the road in a bus, at the same time everyone would yell, EEEEEW SKUNK, and cover their noses, meanwhile, I would be sitting there thinking, "what skunk?" As a teen, I chased one around, hoping it would spray, just so I could smell it! lol... I know it's odd, but what better place to bring my story. I'm sure I would think the smell of a skunk was gross, but to have never been able to smell one??? Otherwise, my sence of smell is totally normal, and I can pick up the faintest smells and scents. And on a side note, "jelly belly" makes trick jelly beans where they have flavors such as "vommit, booger" and you guessed it, skunk. Others that ate it nearly threw up, I could'nt even smell fake skunk, nor could I even TASTE IT!! What's wrong with me! lol...

As a child, I couldn't smell skunk either, but then in my 40's , I started smelling something like sesame oil. Now years later, skunk smells like really fragrant chinese food. I always ask everyone to describe what skunk smells like to them, but I have never gotten a good answer. I just can't imagine.

I don't think that is abnormal. My parents know the smell but I don't think it smells too awful. I also can't smell gas, but my sense of smell in everything else is very strong.
