    I had a huge problem for weeks sleeping without my ex when she left me! It took along time to get a good nights sleep again :(

    Yes, it's normal. The olfactory lobe is in a more primitive part of the brain, so smells are more evocative of instincts and emotions (and less logical) than the other senses.
