Is it normal that i can't sleep/stay awake like everyone else

Ugh! I have no idea what's wrong with me but every since I can remember, I've had sleeping problems. On the days where I have nothing to do, I have trouble with not taking a nap. I guess I just get so bored that all I can do is sleep! But at night, I'm like the energizer bunny. I really have no idea what's wrong with me; I know that my late nights staying up contribute to me needing a nap during the day. But I don't know how to fix this. For example, yesterday I slept basically all day because I hadn't slept the night before. Then I just stayed up again last night and here I am now -sleepy. But I want to keep myself awake because if I nap now, I will want to nap all day! It's a vicious cycle. Of course, when I have to work, I can't nap but it has been affecting me a lot lately. I just don't know what to do :( I keep telling people that I need sleeping pills and they say no! I think that I have a circadian rhythm disorder. Any advice on how to fix this? I know it isn't normal. I just feel so alive at night and I get so much accomplished. During the day, I'm constantly yawning and feel sluggish :(

I'm the same way. It's been a horrible roller coaster. My body is actually tired of changing back and forth.

Yeah I'm getting sick and tired of it, literally! It's so annoying and I can't seem to fix it.

I suppose you work during the day? I would try to get a night job instead.

Yeah when I'm working it's from 7am-4pm and I take a nap sometimes after work because I get sleepy. I want a night job but I think that it would make me worse than I am now...idk?

Not really a disorder, but try exercising at night and then go to bed. Tiring yourself might help out a bit. Also, make a new sleeping schedule if possible. There's also certain foods that supposedly helps one sleep at night.

I noticed that when I do exercise, I get tired sometimes but sometimes it just makes me more energetic. I really do have to make a schedule, watch what I eat and stick to it! That's the problem, I can't stick with a schedule :( but I'm gonna try hard.

I have problems with sticking with schedules, too. Try setting up an alarm on your phone; one alarm for when to wake up, and one for when to go to sleep.

You can also plan your meals ahead of time based on what you have readily available - takes a lot of work, though. Or just set up when you should eat. I heard that you shouldn't eat maybe 2-3 hrs before you go to sleep.
