Is it normal that i can't pay attention to movies?

For this reason, I haven't seen many. I'm completely lost on movie culture--name a movie that everyone's seen, I probably haven't seen it.

Whenever people are sitting around watching a flick--I find my mind wandering. There are a few movies I LOVE and will watch over and over again. Otherwise, I enjoy most documentaries. I only like to watch TV/movies alone, however.

The bottom line is most movies, especially (romantic) comedies, are stupid. I could be having just as interesting conversations/adventures with my friends, if only they would BE awesome instead of watching awesome.

Short attention spans are VERY common.

I couldn't agree more about those "(romantic) comedies", but I especially enjoy movies that take me places I can't go, science fiction for instance. Suspense (NOT horror) movies that get you thinking, and any movie where I must figure out what's what and who's who, like a who done it.
Unfortunately, you are not the norm here or those stupid "(romantic) comedies" wouldn't be so popular. Of course, you might be a bit smarter than those simpletons that watch that junk.

Yeah movies are kinda boring. I mean, you're just sitting there starring at a screen for hours. If it's not something I'm into then I'm just waiting for it to end so that I can do something I'm into. It's kinda depressing for those who enjoy it and want to share that joy with me.

Movies aren't your thing, that's fine, perfectly normal, I've known other people who have told me the same thing.
