Is it normal that i can't move my back?

Around three weeks ago, I've taken up yoga, and I really enjoy it. It's relaxing and is really helping me shape up.

But, ever since, my back has gotten gradually worse. When I first started, it was just a slight ache, it would go away for a couple of days, and then come back.

Now, yesterday and today, I literally can't move. When I finally got home from school, I collapsed on my bed, and was stuck, and even a slight movement just sent pain up and down my body. Now, it is better, I can move, but it hurts so bad. It hurts even sitting down.

I am going to the doctor Wednesday, which is when I could fit it in my busy schedule, but IIN?

It is normal to have muscle aches after doing something hard on your body . Remember you just picked yoga up and it is going to take some time for your body to get used to the movements your doing . It seems like your taking it a little fast with yoga though . Next class i would take it a bit easier and see if that helps at all .
