Is it normal that i can't make new friends at 21 ?

I just came back from holiday where I spent an amazing time with old old friends, I mean I was really happy for 2 months. Now I just went back to my engineer school and all the people I know are just acquintances, I feel so lonely but I have things to share. The worst is, I don't really care wether I meet new people or not, I just don't give a shit anymore. I'm 21..

    Sports dude. Join a sports club or the gym. Easy way to make new friends man

    You have to get out there to make new friends. It took me forever to find a friend here after I moved. You just have to be confident and break away from the "Just a class friend" or "Just a work friend" and ask them out for a drink or something sometime

    This is how I feel starting college. I'm going to a community college in town, and all of my close friends are still here, but I haven't really made any friend in college. Just acquaintances. Honestly, I've been depressed for the past two months, because I just feel alone. I think part of this was losing the girl I loved though...

    I find it interesting that people have suggested joining a sports club at an engineering school. I can't imagine the vast majority of engineers being interested in sports. Join a math, science, chess, or philosophy club, they should be packed.
