Is it normal that i can't hold eye contact with my boyfriends?

When dating a guy I've noticed I can't keep eye contact if I respect and like/love him. Towards the end of a relationship after my feelings start to go away because I no longer respect them due to how I was treated or something I have absolutely no problem with it or even staring them down. It's been like this since I can remember. I can also keep eye contact with any male if we're not dating.

    If anything i think holding eye contact to the people you care about or are interested in is very important. Its a sign of care, that you hold meaning on what they are saying or who they are.

    A word of advice, if you look at a dudes eyes for longer than normal its a good indicator you like them. So please dont mislead people into thinking that.

    Well I dont know about your other BF but If I were dating you I think I would get you to have eye contact with me for one id tell to look at me so I Could tell you you that you had Beutiful Eyes Love!

    I cannot and will not get romantically involved and intimate with someone that can't hold eye contact with me. It's a trust issue and a deal breaker.

    If you care about this guy and yourself maybe you ought to work on the underlying issues that are causing this problem. In my humble opinion it sounds like you have trust issues and a fear of intimacy perhaps. There's an old saying, "the eyes are the windows of the soul", which makes me wonder if your afraid of being seen for who you really are.

    Intimacy= In to me see.

    Lol thank you, but he's tried that before. I think the longest I've been able to hold eye contact was 3 seconds
