Is it normal that i can't fall asleep without holding my stuffed anima

Okay, I used to not have this weird problem, some nights I would fall asleep right away and others i could stay up until 6 a.m.! But recently I bought a new adventure time jake the dog pillow/stuffed animal, I bought it for this kid I have a thing with c; and I just havent gotten the chance to give it to him, so I have been sleeping with it and one night I put him in a position where I am hugging him and fell asleep right away, now it has become a habit and I can't fall asleep without doing it. When I give it to him I'm afraid I won't be getting very much sleep? :c

Completely normal. I cannot go to sleep unless I am cuddling my giant pillow-sized stuffed bunny called Big Guy that I've had all my life. When I go on vacations I have to call room service and ask for an extra pillow so that I can cuddle the pillow. It's not the same though.

No way, Jose! I'm 19 and male, but I simply cannot fall asleep if I am not cuddled with my life size tiger. It kind of sucks though when a chick is over and whatever happens, then I'm just like k i'm gonna cuddle with this tiger now.

I once heard that hugging things while sleeping shows that you are sub-consciously missing someone.
