Is it normal that i can't express my feelings?

I have always had trouble expressing my feelings and dealing with confrontation. Ever since my mom died when I was 14, I felt like I couldn't express any frustration or negative feelings to my dad because it would put more stress on him. I hate making people upset, so I never express anything negative. I basically have trouble communicating anything that isn't superficial and meaningless. I can never talk about my true feelings. I can't even write them down.

I've got the same problem. Anytime I try to talk about anything serious, I either start crying or can't speak. It's wonderful.

I'm the exact same way! I agree, it might be one of my favorite things about myself.

I agree with you and I have the same problem, to a certain extent.

Do you have any artistic talents or interests? Different forms of art have been known to help a lot of people express their feelings when they can't use their words. Maybe something to look into.
