Is it normal that i can't cry to sad things

I can't cry at all when it comes to anything sad or depressing even though I feel really sad.

I bet you'd cry if you're family burned alive right in front of you.

Have you checked you actually have tear ducts? Apparently it really contributes to the whole crying act.

Considering you sensed the sarcasm, I do not believe it was a failed attempt =)

You can't cry because you're insecure about yourself; and the feeling of crying and vulnerability makes you put up a fake front to make yourself feel proud. You must be a little short, or arrogant and not many people are close to you.

I'm sorry, but this is the truth.

I'm not 'a little short' or arrogant for that matter and i'm fairly close to friends and family and sometimes aquaintances.
