ive always been able to stop hiccuping when i want to, when i notice it i just think to myself that its getting irritating and it just stops.
I hiccup once then think about it to stop. I've been able to do this for years. Never met anyone else who can do this.
I wouldn't say it's normally but for at least 10 years I have been able to do it. I hiccup once and kind of just relax and I don't do it again. I don't even focus on stopping it or anything.

I can't stop hiccup on command like you unfortunately. Not even if command is "sudo hiccup -stop"
I can also stop hiccups. I have to concentrate on it for a minute, but it works.
