Is it normal that i can only play guitar stoned?

Don't get me wrong, of course I can actually play when I'm not stoned. I've been playing for several years. But I (as well as most people I know) have noticed that I seem to play a lot more 'melodically' when I am.

Now, I smoke a lot of pot. I'll be honest, I'm about to put my phone down for a cone. Then I gotta chop up..

And have another cone.

Okay. So. I've never got any trouble shredding the Ibanez, just wondering if it's normal to be significantly better at guitar when you're stoned. I presume it's because marijuana envokes creativity and clarity, these two factors increasing performance. Meh.

    Are you sure it doesn't just make you think you're playing better? As a musician I have made stuff while stoned that I thought was great only to sober up and realize it sounds like shit.
    I have seen many people do the same as well.

    Have you ever seen the episode of 'family guy' when peter and louis are stoned and performing on stage. They sing beautifly and ate surprised they didn't win. They complain to their son chris who tell then he was in the audience, and what they thought was slow relaxing music was actually them screaming on stage and being awful.

    Makes you.more loose and Happy also calms the nerves so yuo can strum one out.

    I think it is all about perception, you are stoned, thus you perceive to be playing much better!

    Jimmy Hendrix could not play sober, neither could peter frampton, maybe you are a true artist...then again, maybe you are just a stoner?

    You do everything better when you're stoned. At least it would appear that way. I'm pretty sure that's why people get stoned.

    Ever notice how you're the funniest guy in the room when everyone is smoking pot. Same thing. You're not getting better....your judgement is impaired. Quit smoking pot...its making you think that its making you smarter.

    Yes Music is enhanced by drugs therefore you get into it more. I play drums and I think Im the best drummer stoned.

    Ibanez has the best guitar necks. ive got a schecter and the necks are so FAT
