Is it normal that i can only express myself to inanimate objects

I don't know why, but I can only express myself to inanimate objects. I think it's because they don' judge and they just listen. I often hug stuffed animals in bed and tell them how I feel, and it feels like i'm really releasing emotions. If I try to talk to real people about my emotions, it comes out in a big mess.

As long as the teddy bear doesn't start answering you back.

I just talk to my dog. But he's so adorable I just forget all my problems before I can express them and just snuggle him to death. But stuffed animals work just as good ;) especially how they can't die no matter how hard you snuggle them. Have lost a few pets that way.. haha jk that would be insane.

ok my thoughts on this is that its good that you have an outlet for your emotions. I don't think there's anything wrong with this outlet. I do think there's a problem in your not being able to talk to people. It could be indicative of trauma of some sort and may be helpable. I would suggest talking to a therapist (but I understand if you can't)

That's the same thing as writing your thoughts in a dairy. I'd say it's normal.

Have you heard of dancing like a maniac when with only your couch for company? Same thing. Totally normal.

Do what makes you feel better but I would suggest working on talking to people about your problems and expressing it that way also. But as long as your expressing yourself, that's what is healthy.
