I am a female in my early twenties, I have a live in boyfriend and have a very normal sex life and I am very satisfied with my partner in pretty much every possible way, except every other day I have urges to use my viberator and end up going for as long as five hours sometimes. Usually I will try to do it at nighttime when he goes to sleep but sometimes I will do it while he will watch tv and I will NOT let him in the bedroom and I get very irritable if he interferes in any way (mostly because I am having a fantasy), and sometimes I would even prefer to masturbate than to have sex because it gives me a whole different experience but I do like both. Anyway, I am still not sure if it is okay for me to use a viberator for that long(I don't put it inside of me, only clitorus stimulation), so is it normal or safe for me to do this for so much and so often?

    I think you have a lot of anxiety and use this to escape your feelings. It isn't healthy for your relationship if you are locking him out the room...jeepers creepers just get a new guy already..

    Its safe, but stimulating yourself regularly for that length of time will effect your sexual activities with your bf, now and in the future. Eventually you may find it harder and harder to achieve orgasm with anyone else.

    Pleasuring yourself is good for you and normal, but like everything; in moderation because of the potential negative impact on other aspects of your life. i.e: no energy for work, no social life, unwilling to have sex with your bf, etc, etc.
