Is it normal that i can change my point of view in my head?

*Scenario* So I walk into a normal classroom and I scan the area. After looking around for a couple of seconds I can see in my head how any particular area in the room would look like if I were standing there. This happens almost instantaneously in my mind. Also, I don't have to be in that room to do this. Basically I can see everything at a different angle. Is this normal?

I completely understand what you are saying. If I'm familiar enough with a room, I can do the same. You must have an impressive photographic memory.

    1. Can't everybody do this?
    2. Why would anybody want to do this?

It is almost the same as making a map of an area in yor head
Puzzeling the otlines of a map together and marking special lokations with memorised pictures (for orientation)
    in my case
