Is it normal that i can careless about my brother even if he died?

Is it normal that if my brother died right now I wouldn't care at all. Not to sound like an ignorant dumbass but he's been a douchebag long as Ive known him. Saying he kicked me in the throat for not doing hw the way he likes it or calling me a retarded pussy for being depressed then getting hit or leave me stranded because I couldn't get out to the car fast enough when I'm 5 feet away or he stole all my stuff because he felt like I needed my stuff to be taken away (laptop phone etc.) I mean there's so much more that I can't type right now the list literally never ends. My family's excuse for him being like that is because he cares well I call bullshit he's the most annoying douche that annoys me everyday with not a day passing without him being nice only times he pretends to be nice is infront of people he knows and to try to show he's tough he be a total asshole to me purposely when I'm with friends even they think he's a total douchebag. So I ask again is it normal i can careless about my brother even if he died?

As a person that has a dead family member I can tell you this.

When a family member dies you have no idea how you'll react to. This long list of yours wouldn't mean shit if your brother died. Regardless of whether the relationship is good our bad, a death is a powerful thing. You could be ridiculously sad or insanely angry. I don't know how you'll react and neither do you.

But then again, I guess you're really just asking if it's normal that you hate your brother. Yeah. That's normal he sounds like an asshole.

I never cried after my great grandmother died, I was just kind of numb to the world for like a month, as a kid, I would get off the bus and go to her house and she would have some popcorn and a Dr. Pepper for me and I'd go sit inside and talk to her and we'd watch TV while she did crossword puzzles then around 5:00 she would hug me and give me a bag to put the popcorn in and take me across the street to my Mom's house, I loved her so much, R.I.P. Nana, You're in a better place.

I hated my brother my entire childhood, then he had kids and I swear I don't think I'll love anything more than them.

It really improved our relationship, and made us closer. When you get older you'll find people you really cant stand and will most likely appreciate your brother more.

    We're both mid-twenties now.

I think if someone had tortured me as it sounds as if he did you, I'd want to retaliate now that you have the power to do so. How about telling your parents he molested you growing up? He definitely abused you, but the molestation charge would serve him right (true or not) and cause him some measure of pain in return.
I hope to christ he doesn't treat his girlfriends as he did you. He sounds like a total asshole and deserves a pretty severe punishment, IMO.

A false molestation charge? No. Fuck no.

Isn't that an insult to folks that have been molested for real? Couldn't that backfire and the OP get charged with filing a false report? Don't you think that could ruin an entire family and destroy any future chance of reconciliation?

You usually come up with some good stuff, this is not among that stuff.
