Is it normal that i buy cute clothes but don't go out?

Its not that i don't want to go out, if i had a legit group of friends who are like me who want to go out all the time, go clubbing, dress classy, etc, my clothes would be beneficial. I have a good fashion taste its just unfortunate that I havent put them in use. When I shop and see something cute and picture myself wearing it when I go out, Ill buy it because I can see myself in it and stuff and then I just wait for the perfect occasion to wear it/them however, those occasions take longer than I want. It sucks because as i cleaned my closet, i found so many cute things and its like a waste because I havent worn them cause of the fact that I dont go out because I dont have friends and havent found the right people who have the common interests like in this case, going clubbing or any other social events."sighs"

are u old enough to go to bars? if so, go alone and just start drinking or start drinking b4 u go out to take the edge off and start talking to people randomly, or go karoake or whatever. if ur cute you'll have more confidence and it'll be fun to make friends

i used to be exactly the same. Now I just wait to plan the occasion first (with the right people) and then buy the right outfit.

I've been doing the same thing. I've wasted so much money on cute clothes. At least my closet looks nice c:

I do both what the poster and nanimeow said. I buy clothes to wear out but never go out, and often buy clothes in smaller sizes. I won't do it on purpose, but if there's a shirt I like that's out of my size, I'll buy the smaller one hoping to fit into it. I've a tiny pair of R&R jeans I'm waiting to get into.

Funny as it sounds, I had the same kind of problem but in a different manner. I bought clothes over the past year that would fit me in a smaller size or something I would wear later. So they basically sat in my closest. However, I eventually lost the weight and can now wear those clothes and it is great! I am glad I bought that stuff. It was something to look forward to. Basically, the clothes and my better looking body were a reward for sticking with healthier eating and exercising. Maybe you can use your clothes as a means to go out and meet people? Meaning, it clearly seems like you with you had more people to hangout with. Go out and find people with similar interest and you will get to wear your clothes.
