Is it normal that i believe these people shouldn't reproduce?

I believe that anyone who has any Mental, Social, or Developmental Delays/Problems should not reproduce and get themselves sterilized. Why? Because it's detrimental to society and people suffer due to a couple's (or in some cases a single person's) mistakes to not reproduce. The parents suffer but what's worse is that the children suffer the rest of their lives with their problems (Unless they're lucky). Before you call me a Bitch I have Asperger's Snydrome and I don't believe I should reproduce either. I couldn't imagine cursing a innocent baby with that bull (Let alone ADHD, Autism, Bipolar, Schizophrenia, Manias, ADD, Down's Snydrome, or Retardation. My mom had Bipolar Disorder and my biological father had ADD). No kid should ever deal with that and if Defective people like me want kids, we should adopt the kids already here. I know it may be cold but if people like me deliberately have babies, they're just being fucking selfish pricks who have NO idea what they might be cursing that child with. Only the Healthy (both physically and mentally) should have kids.

  • I think this is a good topic, but I disagree with it, so I will give my reasonings why.

Like you I also have aspergers. I am also diagnosed with adhd, dyslexia and schizoaffective disorder.
I'm not defective but am different from other people, more so than most people are different from each other.
Its like I'm a visitor in a world that I don't quite fit into. It can be difficult, but I have a lot to offer the world.

I am very pro-neurodiversity. People who get diagnosed with these labels have different ways of thinking that are necessary to create diverse ideas. Without different types of people, humans would be too similar to each other, and would not be able to grow as a species. Many of the greatest thinkers in history would likely be diagnosed with mental disorders.

Autism isn't genetic. Besides, so many great minds were autistic, so even if you could prevent it you wouldn't know how many potential geniuses you robbed of their intellect. If it wasn't for the introverts who actually made progress, we'd all still be in caves talking to eachother.

"if people like me deliberately have babies, they're just being fucking selfish pricks who have NO idea what they might be cursing that child with."

This is true of everybody. The difference with you is that you're not just being selfish, you're being a little dick-tator.

"Only the Healthy (both physically and mentally) should have kids."

So who determines physical and mental health? Spend some time surfing this site, you'll find that almost no-one fits the bill.

"Before you call me a Bitch I have Asperger's Snydrome"

I don't believe that you have Asperger's. Your writing is way too sloppy, and people with Asperger's are very particular about presentation and being "correct" when possible, to the point that it hampers personal interaction. So...can people call you a bitch now?

If that were the case, the absolute love of my life wouldn't exist. She has an auditory processing learning disorder, add, and dyslexia which she got from her mom. She is not a detriment to society as she is in a well esteemed university currently working towards a pre-vet degree and is the sweetest most understanding person I've ever met.

You never know how someone will turn out, regardless of disabilities. Hell, Einstein had learning disabilities, and just look at Stephen Hawking. Abe Lincoln also had a genetic disorder that made him look the way he did.

I agree and that is why I don't plan on having any kids. I don't want to give them any physical disabilities that I myself am burdened with.

I come from a long line of Asthmatics, def, blind, and I most certainly don't want to risk having a child which must suffer like this.

I would rather adopt a kid and make sure another orphan isn't developmentally screwed up since they were neglected in an orphanage for so long.

I have the same view as you but I have type 1 diabetes. I couldn't imagine having a child and watch him/her grow up with the disease. Of course it's not 100% chance the child would develop the disease but the thought of my child...ugh. I'm not a fan of kids anyway though so I think I'll stick with dogs and cats :)
