thats the whole thing the media is trying to put up now a days ... you see!! I've heard of many of those movies about zombies and others... and its pathetic...

coming to my point of view the body never ever cease to exist .. and our soul, yes it does !! but it reaches GOD as soon as we die ... if you believe in God !! if not then soul shouldn't mean anything to you.. right? only body and physical world.. ?

Wishful thinking. We didn't previously exist so we'll probably stop.

I wish I couldn't believe it but I can't help know its true.

    • I believe that we live multiple lives and that we've always existed as spirits. Physical bodies perish, but spirits don't.

Well if I have no recollection or affinity with these previous/current existences they might as well not existing and are as pointless as not believing they exist at all.

Energy is neither created, nor destroyed. So i can see your idea that your life energy moves on, even if your body dies.

Hogarth Hughes: I know you feel bad about the deer, but it's not your fault. Things die. That's part of life. It's bad to kill, but it's not bad to die.
    The Iron Giant: You die?
    Hogarth Hughes: Well, yes, someday.
    The Iron Giant: I die?
Hogarth Hughes: I don't know. You're made of metal, but you have feelings, and you think about things, and that means you have a soul. And souls don't die.
    The Iron Giant: Soul?
Hogarth Hughes: Mom says it's something inside of all good things, and that it goes on forever and ever.

I believe in it but I wish there wasn't one.
Once I die, I would hope that afterwards I'd just get to be dead. An afterlife sounds tiring, it sounds like more work and strife and no matter how many people tell me that I'll be prepared and that my physical and emotional limits in life will cease to be in death, I just feel nothing but uncertainty, discomfort and wariness when I think of an afterlife.

If there is one, I can't shake the feeling that the understanding we have of it is probably rudimentary, simplified and inadequate. It's probably beyond human comprehension and THAT, my friends, sounds tiring to a lazy soul like moi.

I know there is an afterlife, I am there. When you die you get sucked into the internet. I have to spend time on IIN until I earn my way into Heaven.

    Spirit science man.
Google it, research it, practice it.
Life would be meaningless without the existance of a soul.

I also do not believe we only exist to serve God, I think that if he exists he should have made us with a free will for a reason.

Yes, it's very normal. I think most people believe in an afterlife, religious or not. I personally don't, but wish I did. Unless you meant something else other than an afterlife? Not sure what else, but I think the thought is a normal one.

Although, out of curiosity, what exactly ceases to exist? I usually just see the term as us as people, our memories, etc., no longer existing, but do you mean something else? Because in a few ways, I actually agree with you, but in most ways, I don't.
