Is it normal that i believe that people should only have 2 kids?

I believe that when it comes to birthchildren, people should only have two and if they want more, they should adopt. Is this normal?

I kind of agree with you. But some people can't even afford one child. I think if parents want children they should at least be able to afford one. That may sound harsh, but I think it's fair. If a person can afford to have three children then I wouldn't really mind either.

That depends on whether or not one of them dies. I think it is normal because I have heard it before.

Personally, I don't care just so long as it's a decent family that can afford the children. If that was an actual requirement, we probably wouldn't have to worry too much about population. I know people that have 2 children and stopped there and they could never afford either in the first place.

I think T.B.H it is very wrong for you to try and dictate how many children people should have. You can't be closed minded either what if a family are blessed with triplets. xx

I think hormones can make women baby crazy. My sister and her daughter are that way. I don't have any attraction to babies and have not had any. They think I'm weird and I think they are odd.

what kind of people produce four children or more? I do not think it is the well-educated or the top managers. It is usually the poorer or stupid people...
It is not only a matter of the number of children...

People don't understand the over-population issue.

Over-population is different from global climate change and the economic crash in that it's not something we can tackle at home and expect to make a difference. Over-population is something that affects everyone in the world, but the problem actually happens in the poorest of African, South African and Middle Eastern countries. The United States actually has a very slowly increasing population; over-population is not an American problem. It's increasing even more slowly in the United Kingdom, and in Canada and most of Europe and Australia it's the same story.

We have to tackle world over-population in the countries where population is growing the fastest. Countries like Liberia, Zimbabwe, Niger and Afghanistan. The population growth in each of those countries is around 400% higher than that of the US. We need to work on educating the people in those countries about protection during sex (unsurprisingly, these are often the same countries with a high rate of AIDs) and remove the incentives for them to have more children by bringing healthcare in those countries to a respectable standard.

As for rich countries, people should only plan to have the kids they can afford. That much should be obvious, but not always possible.

Overpopulation is a problem.. if two people make 1 baby, that's helping. If they have 2, there's no harm. 3+ hurts as far as overpopulating goes.

I don't know about normal, the truth is, it's the reasonable thing to believe. The earth's surface is limited. If we keep growing exponentially, soon enough we will have deforested the last square foot of it in order to plant food, and then what?

The world's population raises by 215,000 every day (you can check this anywhere you want). How much surface does it take to grow food for 215.000 people? That's the amount of surface we should deforest every day if we were to feed them all. For how long could we keep that up?

I think you're going after a steady population. If so, two kids per couple wouldn't really work that well.

Think of just how many people you know that either can't or don't have kids. They discount this idea hugely.

I do believe that population control like this may be necessary soon, but a more complex solution may be needed.
