Is it normal that i believe that immortality is stupid?

I believe that immortality is a overrated and stupid concept. Why would anyone want to live forever? Even if people could live forever life would get boring after a while and then what? They couldn't die and get out of that life because they would live forever. It's better to just live and die then outlive everyone and be stuck in a life that you probably will grow to hate. Is it normal i think immortality is a dumb idea?

    Death is forever too, and death sounds much worse than life.

      In all seriousness, do we actually know that death is forever? I'm about as much of a realist as you can get. We have no facts that death is forever. We are just now starting to understand what consciousness is. What we know is very little. And besides, where death is, you are not. They can never coincide. It's impossible. Forever won't even be of your concern when you're gone. it's just like an on-off switch. Click and you're gone. Everyone here and there worries about death. I guess it's natural, instinctual. I don't fear it at all anymore.

      I think death is neutral. Life can be good or bad.

    Are you saying immortality and invincibility together would be stupid? If so, I completely agree.

    I wholeheartedly would accept immortality if I could choose to die when I was ready, but immortality without that choice just seems painful.

    With life becoming boring and people dying away from you, then yes, immortality may not be that great.
