Is it normal that i believe air travel is overrated?

If you going over seas you can only go sea or air. Since sea is less convenient and more expensive people usually do that. However air travel is bad if you have animals. They have had countless reports of animals dieing on planes. Even ones in great health condition when first arriving on pets. A long with misplaced, or lost pets on the plane.

8 hours flight vs. 4 day drive... Hmm...
Yeah, sorry OP, but often, Air Travel is far less of a hassle than driving or, say, trying to get from California to North Carolina by boat. The Panama Canal may make it easier but not THAT much easier.

Its normal. Though I must disagree ever so slightly with you... I think more people should do space travel. Unfortunately, very few people can get into space. Either you have to be extremely rich, a trained astronaut or a lucky civilian who had to go through training as well. If space travel could be made a commonplace, a ticket could be just as affordable as a airplane ticket. Another, exciting aspect would be to be able to go to other planets and galaxies.

If land/sea travel was as speedy and affordable, then I would believe air travel to be overrated.
