Is it normal that i avoid stepping on earthworms when it rains?
In Kindergarten, I remember our teacher telling us about how the rain was always good, not only for the plants, but insects, and worms, and how even though we couldn't go out and play, other creatures could.
Later that day, when I was walking with my mom to the car, I came upon an earthworm wriggling in the rain, and I said to it "Oh! You get to play in the rain Mr. Earthworm. I won't bother you."
And since then, when ever I see an earthworm outside, I avoid stepping on it.
Well, I'm in college right now, and today is a rainy spring day, and all day on the way to my classes, I found myself staring at the ground, still stepping over, and avoiding the earthworms.
But, since I'm nearly 20 I wasn't sure if that was normal or not.
