Is it normal that i am scared of als

I have been scared of ALS since I had a nightmare about it. I Know that it is really rare but it still scares me. I ussualy do have health anxiety. I try not to google any diseases because I always find a way to make myself think I have it. I wanted to know if the specific fear of ALS is normal. Are there any other people here that are just as scared of ALS as me? Like I've never been scared of death but now im scared of ALS.

Its normal, but being too afraid of a disease isn't healthy. When I was diagnosed with OCD, I was so afraid of mad cow I wouldn't eat any meat whatsoever. Don't be like me, realize its really really rare!

everyone should be scared of ALS. it's a horrible way to go.

i think you are overracting because of the feelings the bad dream gave you, therefore you feel worse about it than people who have never dreamed of it.

stop looking on google for diseases and then thinking you have them. it just shows that you are needy emotionally and will probably lend itself into exagerating it.

    • I have already stopped, but when I used to google them I didn't specifically look for diseases. I just happened to find them and then read the symptoms and thought that I had them. I havent ever told anyone about any of them though. Because I've always known that I probably don't have them.
