Is it normal that i am obsessed with the number 12?

Everywhere I look, there is the number 12. 6 and 2 are two of my favorite numbers, and 2X6=12. 12 is everywhere. 12 is and will be a big part of my life. 12 books on my bookshelf. I have 12 tabs open on my computer. There are twelve f1-f12 keys at the top of my keyboard. Is this normal?

You're totally nuts. There is no hope for your sanity. 7
Some other people do that, too... I think. 8

I think you are mentally healthy, mostly. 4

PS: I just remembered this nosy bossy woman at the local fruit & vegie stand last week: I commented to the cashier that I only had 5 pears and that it felt strange to have an uneven number because I always buy an even number. This complete stranger promptly informed me knowingly with I'm OCDC! Or something like that, some meaningless alphabet soup I couldn't be bothered asking her to explain.

I should've told her to mind her own business, but I was feeling quite serene & happy at the time, so I responded that I didn't think so, it's just a habit. She kept insisting it meant I had a disorder: she was one of those nicey nicey control freaks, smiling smugly but with steely eyes and determined to push her point.

In the end I just said I had other far more important medical issues to worry about, gave her a big smile and left, but I've wished ever since that I'd asked her (nicely of course) if she had any qualifications to diagnose complete strangers in a shopping queue

That was pretty rude. I probably would have said something like, "How would a cashier know that when my doctor doesn't?" or something like that.

That does sound somewhat obsessive: do you have other compulsions?

      Not that I have noticed.

It seems a fairly harmless obsession if it's not adversely affecting your life
