Is it normal that i am obsessed with a close friend?

I have this friend who I met about a week or two ago I believe.
I strangely feel sort of... obsessed with her.
I'm never really happy unless I'm talking to her, because the fact that I'm not talking to her makes me sad.

I'm not sure if this is a normal thing or not- I do not think I'm falling in love, and I also hope I'm not since I have a girlfriend who I love very much.

Anyways, I am just wondering as to whether or not this is normal?

    You believe? What you can't say for certain? a week or two is a short space of time to be unable to pinpoint when you met this person, especially considering you seem obsessed with her.

    You puzzle me.

    Maybe you get something from her that you don't get from your girlfriend or other people. Perhaps she's just a really good conversationalist. It doesn't really sound like an obsession, it sounds like you simply enjoy her company, which is normal.

    Obsessions are never good. So try to not stalk her if you really want to keep the friendship. Therefore if you think you are falling in love with her, handle the situation very carefully. If she doesn't respond as you were hoping, try to avoid that obsession

    Of course you are in love with her, don't try do deny it. But that's no shame, isn't it? Not even to your girlfriend, as long as you keep loving her too there's no problem being in love with someone else as well.

    If you're not normal for doing this, than I'm not normal either.
    I talk to me friend Carl every day, unless something comes up. I love talking to him and it makes my day to hear his voice cuz he lives so far away.
    If I don't talk to him for a few days in a row with no explanation i start to worry. He's like my other half and the only person that can make me smile no matter what (:
    So IMO it's normal, but maybe we're both just weird.
