Is it normal that i am not happy with my descent?

I'm disappointed to know that I'm only "quarter" Italian.

I am proud of my Italian heritage and I just learned that I'm just a little 'Italian.

Is it normal for to be disappointed that I'm leaving upto my family traditional lifestyle yet I'm only a small part of that tradition?

I mean, whose seen a blonde and blue eyed Italian guy?!?

southern italy got that moorish influence like what got explained by dennis hopper to chris walken in that one movie

northern italy has more western european peoples like what yalld expect to see in the alps kinda areas of the continent

a blonde and blue eyed Italian guy?? What's not to like? :-) Yeah, have you even been to the country? The Northern half? You would fit right in. Milan, perhaps? Or, in the regions around Switzerland and Austria, that's one, like around Torino. I have an artist friend who is directly from Italy, he's blonde. There's a lot of them with light brown hair and blue eyes.

Need examples? Soccer players ... what the rest of the world calls football. Here's a few: All, Italians...

I'm having a really hard time understanding what exactly you're saying. You can eat spaghetti even if you're not Italian at all.

Well, its your depression if you chose to feed it. But why bother? Seems silly to be upset over something you cant control. Especially since traditions are what you make of them and can easily be recreated to suit whatever traditions from whatever personal history you choose.

Personally, I love being a mutt. There are so many cultural traditions I can follow, but why limit myself? It is also fun to make up your own.

Besides you copying and pasting that a bunch of times, would be odd to see a arayian chinese italian. Serious note though, do what makes you happy regardless of who brain washed you into enjoying it. Another story, for another day. Back to point. Culture is merely a sociological phenomon known as cults, don't see why you can be apart of it... would be predijous if you couldn't join even then all you're doing is joing a caste or forming a new one. Like I don't believe in christmas maybe I like quanza. Just go with what you like and tell everyone else to fuck off if they don't like it. People post so much of this stuff, when really what does it matter what people tihnk. Just because the question is formed differently it is revolved around the same issue VANITY or parent directory SIN EG, guilt. Get over yourself and your issues and enjoy life. Mean it in the nicest way possible you want to celebrate chinese new year go ahead, forward me the address and time and I will bring some rice wine and tonic water

Sorry, I copy and paste to avoid having to type again, I'm very lazy, lol!

It's not me trying to make myself into someone else, it's me worrying about acceptance. A lot of other Italians (the rough ones) are strict on tradition and I was told I'm "not Italian enough to be around their crowd".

So why attempt to be around people people like that, I know quite a few strict Italians they do as they do in home and such what you do is what you do just don't wipe your feet on their floors per se.

There used to be more before the northern African influence. But at the end of the day who cares? You're you, and you will always and only be you. If you found out you were 0% it wouldn't change who you really are. Don't use labels of identity to define yourself I guess it what I mean.
