Is it normal that i am getting upset over my ex moving on?

I broke up with my boyfriend of about 2 months recently, and I mean like 2/3 weeks ago recently. I have moved on sufficiently and have started getting back into the dating game, as you can see from my last post. I have kissed other people since the relationship ended but nothing has come of it, just playful kisses.

Yesterday, I saw a picture of my ex kissing another girl on facebook. I don't know why but I am really upset about this. I have spoken to a few close friends about it and they all understand why I am upset, but I don't seem to understand it yet.

Around 6 people, from completely different friendship groups, have messaged me asking if I am okay, which means that a lot of people have seen this picture and pity me almost.

Is it normal that I am getting so upset about this minor event, that usually I would not be upset by?

You were only dating for 2 months. Come on. It's normal to be upset but it sounds like your friends are just making it worse and making it a bigger deal than it really is. He's moved on. Your turn.

You say you're upset about seeing a photo of him kissing another girl...
But that YOU'RE dating again too.

So it's wrong for him to kiss other women
but right for you to date other men?

I would suggest the following course of action - stop reading his facebook. It's his life now, you have to learn that you cannot move on and expect him not to.

hes probably posting it on fb to make you jealous. try to not make it a big deal, and find yourself someone else.

He's an ex for a reason!
Convince yourself it's his loss and pity the next girl who gets involved with him ;o)

Ofcourse! Let's simplify. This means you have feelings for him maybe? Don't be ashamed of it though or let others shame you.

Don't be so hard on yourself, you will most likely find a replacement soon and he will feel much like you do!
You really need to push all this silliness out of you head and enjoy what you liked before him, that is what attracted the guys before this relationship, and your self worth and smile will attract another very soon!

  • It's kind of a slap in the face for him to replace you so quickly... Have you ever wondered if he's doing it on purpose?
