I'm gay and what they call straight-acting. No one had a clue I was gay till I came out. I think most gay people are like that. The hollywood-style flaming queen is more the exception than the rule.

Most gay people are closet gays, it's called "straight acting" and pretty common.

Those are the ones I love hanging out with the most. Although the 'flaming queens' as someone else put it, make really good shopping buddies...some tend to be a little over the top and obnoxious at times, haha. I have both types of gay friends, but how they act is just who they are. Not all gays have to act like a stereotypical 'gay' male. I hope someday you get to be you, and not worry about people knowing or not. Though I think unless it's your family, it's not anyone's business, unless you feel it would be necessary for them to know. I don't walk around telling people I'm straight...
